Many exciting new SQL features and enhancements were introduced in IBM DB2 10 for z/OS that will drastically simplify applications, improve developer productivity and performance of your applications. In this presentation, we will learn some important ones, including bi-temporal support for time-based data (such as uniqueness over time) and regulatory compliance, fine-grained access control (row permission and column mask) for better security, SQL PL extension for scalar UDFs and table UDFs, new OLAP functions, new timestamp precision and timezone support, as well as friendly implicit cast for some development framework.
