Db2 has become increasingly more complex, and many of us have inherited applications we need to monitor and support that we may not understand. On top of this, the new application economy is skyrocketing transaction volumes. Applications designed to run on terminals in your company are now being triggered from the web and smartphones.
How do we monitor performance, detect problems and predict growth in such a volatile environment? Online monitors and batch reports aren’t enough anymore. We need to know how to use analytics to understand trends, cycles and contention. Most of us are familiar with Excel, but much of today’s data analytics uses the R and Python languages. Let’s take a look at some of the analytics tools in Excel, then look at how to obtain and learn R and Python-Robert D. Andresen-CA Technologies
