There is no doubt that machine learning has become prevalent in our day to day activities as it helps us make better data driven decisions. We can extend this same technology to help tune Db2 for z/OS performance. In this session, you will learn about the architecture and design for IBM Machine Learning for z/OS and how the services are leveraged by Db2 for z/OS to distill insights from your workload characteristics to help boost performance. Specifically, the Db2 optimizer uses Machine Learning for z/OS to find better access paths for SQL queries. This solution enables clients to see out of the box CPU and elapsed time savings through models created and deployed by Db2 for z/OS.-Tammie Dang-IBM Corp; Maggie Lin-IBM Corporation; John Lyle-IBM Corporation
