This session will be the kick-off for the Linux and VM Program for the week. If you are new to SHARE or the Linux and VM Program; this is the place to find out the Who; What; and When about LVM and get a good start on the week. We will spend a few minutes sharing some basic information and then turn over the session to IBM for the latest z/VM updates.
No time to read official IBM announcement letters and statements of direction? You have the time; but you have questions on what the marketing material means? This fast moving session will survey all the latest news on z/VM. The focus will be on z/VM 6.3; the newest release of z/VM that became available on July 26;2013. z/VM 6.3 brings improvements in scalability; efficiency; and systems management.
