The IBM z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) is a framework for managing various aspects of a z/OS environment through a Web browser interface. In this session the speaker will provide an introduction to performance and workload management with z/OSMF: • z/OSMF Workload Management allows to create, edit and review WLM policies and integrates many functions that simplify the management of WLM policies, such as integrated best-practice checking during policy editing and a repository to store policies.
• The Resource Monitoring application provides a state-of-the-art web front-end which allows you to monitor the performance and resource consumption of z/OS sysplexes and other distributed platforms.
• The z/OSMF Capacity Provisioning task simplifies the work of a z/OS CP administrator and provides functionality to manage capacity provisioning domains and policies.
