MQ offers a number of features for building highly available infrastructures that take advantage of a z/OS parallel sysplex. In this presentation we will look at Shared Queues on z/OS, how they can be exploited to offer a zero down-time MQ environment. We will focus particularly on the features of V7.1, looking at the SMDS (Shared Message Data Sets) and Loss of Connectivity enhancements.-Dirk Marski-IBM Corporation
