This session explains what goes on in the “black box” known as the Queue
Manager. The speaker will provide an insight into each of the major components
of an IBM MQ for z/OS Queue Manager and Channel Initiator, the resources they
use and how MQ API requests are processed. Learn how transactions are managed
and why they are important. Get information on what the Buffer Manager is really
doing with messages, what Message Manager is really counting, How the Log
Manager works, and more. An understanding of the Queue Manager architecture will
provide you with useful insights for writing effective applications and
administration when performance is of the utmost priority.
