IBM launches every 2-3 years a new model of Mainframe Hardware comprising lots of changes in its architeture. Processor speed, cache size, and connectivity are some features that are continuously improved aiming a better performance. But in the middle of all the changes, the most asked question is: in the practice how much more efficient is the new generation compared to the previous one?
