The Jupyter Hub and Notebook Server environment that is provided as part of the IBM Open Data Analytics for z/OS ecosystem is intended as a development environment for data scientists without them needing to know the complexity of the underlying z/OS management of data.
But what actually runs on z/OS when you run these Jupyter Notebooks? And what happens to them after they are created? Who will run them? Could we track changes to the code? Where will we log the outputs? These are all questions that we may need answers to when the goal is to utilize Jupyter Notebooks within a z/OS enterprise environment. Consider if, once analytical queries are created, we could enable automation to continuously gain insight on new data while reducing repetitive manual work for managing and running Jupyter Notebooks.
In this session, we'll look at some options for these types of operational questions that would allow you to take advantage of z/OS data from Jupyter Notebooks.-Kieron D. Hinds-IBM
