The power of social media has been demonstrated from Arab Spring, and at the same time it has enable militant bad guys around the world to extend their reach and impact, going where phone and snail mail could never take them. We can also see the very dark side of its use in the harm people can perpetrate on others, sometimes leading to deadly results.
Cyber-bullying is one thing, but less obvious is the depression FaceBook causes for a growing number of users. For everyday use, social media is a cesspool of misinformation and disinformation. As its use grows in the business world to enable, empower, and collaborate around the globe, we face many of the same challenges, not the least of which is poor user security behavior.
The speaker will take attendees through relevant behaviors and security risks, identifying the actions we will need to take to fully embrace and leverage social networking in the business world.-Brian Cummings-Tata Consultancy Services
