SMF Data is vital for any use-cases that involve z/OS monitoring, including reliability-reporting, profiling system resource usage, and for capacity planning. In order to enable you to integrate these tasks with similar, non-z/OS specific ones, as well as to empower your data-scientists without or with a limited z/OS specific background to apply their skills on a z/OS performance data, we are presenting modern, out-of-the-box available, RESTful services. These services do not require an expert-level z/OS-specific skill set and additional infrastructure elements.
In this session, we will provide a comprehensive introduction on how to use our RESTful services. This may dramatically reduce the monitoring, research, and expertise costs, as well as on boarding overhead, by having the structured and mapped data and documentation in place
