The main reason for the success presented in this session is about making informed decisions with the right data.   We will walk through the initial analysis of buffer pool processing.  Then we'll move to identifying the most significant performance issues.  We will also discuss how to im-plement changes and how to measure the results in overall processing.  We will show the value of a large buffer pool allocation as well how other buffer pool parameters can be exploited for further processing improvements.  The technical detail of this presentation is based on several successfull DB2 performance tuning engagements done by IBM DB2 for z/OS Lab Services group.-Randy Ebersole-IBM
