Over the last few years, Git has risen to become a defacto standard for version control in most organizations, especially in the worlds of mobile, web and distributed application development. So much so, that many DevOps solutions have out-of-box-integrations to Git. As Git development comes to the mainframe, organizations are leveraging the widespread availability of these integrations to connect their mainframe pipelines to their standard DevOps toolsets. In this session we look at how one large organization is, like many others, using Git as an interface to their static application analysis solution and see how the combination of existing mainframe automation can be augmented, with Git as an interface, to modern shift-left quality tools.
