The use of REpresentation State Transfer (REST) application programming
interface (API) is becoming more common for accessing resources across intranet
and internet connections. This increase usage of REST APIs includes z/OS
resources such as programs, transactions, MQ queues and other z/OS resources.
This session explores the options for the development of REST clients using REST
APIs to access CICS and MQ resources. Also covered is the system programming
requirements and the options for security when using REST APIs to access CICS
and MQ when using IBM z/OS Connect and the native MQ REST services support
provided by IBM MQ for z/OS
