With enormous amounts of distributed threads coming in from web services and mobile devices DB2 for z/OS needs to be able to defend itself. DB2 11 and DB2 12 offer many advances in the ability to monitor distributed work coming into the system. Everything from catalog tables, to zparms, to client properties will be discussed to determine ways to identify threats and protect against DB2 being overrun.-Adrian Burke-IBM Corporation
