Come to this session to find about the latest new features of IBM z/OS Container Extensions (IBM zCX) and how you can leverage Linux on Z software to build a hybrid workload with your existing native z/OS software and run both in the same z/OS image. In this session we will discuss exciting new features for z/OS Container Extensions, which brings the ability to deploy Linux on Z software packaged as Docker images directly inside a z/OS system using standard Docker container interfaces. It significantly expands what you can do with your z/OS systems by allowing you to deploy Linux on Z software side by side with your z/OS software, middleware, and data while preserving a z/OS operational model and z/OS Qualities of Service. Also consider another zCX update session entitled "The Next Steps of zCX Container Orchestration - zCX for Red Hat OpenShift" on March 30th at 8AM to find out how you can leverage enterprise-level container orchestration and management capabilities and integrate zCX with hybrid cloud type of deployments.
