Effective communication is complex and difficult. Cross gender communication makes "difficult" appear to be child's play. You know the story...you heard what you thought the other person was saying, but they didn't mean what you heard. Is it any wonder that so many of our IT issues result from a breakdown in basic communications between two people? The problem has always been with us, but it is growing worse. The world in which we operate is constantly changing and becoming increasingly global. Imagine a conference call with a number of people that are from a number of cultures or countries. Just because they are all speaking the same language doesn't mean there is any communication occurring. Throw gender differences into the mix and things just get worse. It's a wonder we ever get anything right!
Our speakers for this lively, interactive session will discuss the pitfalls of communications that impact us every day...and those gender differences, they may be the subtlest of them all.
Attendees will learn: • Communication skills
• Differences in male and female communication styles
• Why we are so different
• What to do when you are not being understood
• Verbal and non-verbal communication tools to bridge the gap.
