This is the opening session for the zNextGen Project, open to all attendees. The project officers will take about 10 minutes to introduce the zNextGen community, describe our mission and welcome back returning members. This time will also be used to point out important zNextGen meeting points and activities throughout the week, as well as recommended technical sessions.
Keynote Abstract:
The dinosaurs want TN3270 and their ISPF-based tools - NextGen wants IDEs and web-based repositories. How do you keep diverse tools and people working as a team?
This session presents ways to deal with the technological preferences of mainframe generations. The speakers offer solutions they have experienced that allow the older and younger generations to work as a team while employing diverse technology. TSO/ISPF & IDE, git and Endevor, open discussion with attendees.-Holden E. O'Neal-SAS Institute; John G. Kelley-Kelley-Dalton, Incoporated; Sujay Solomon-CA Technologies
