zEnterprise Data Compression (zEDC) for z/OS V2.1, a new priced optional feature of z/OS , running on zEC12 and zBC12 systems with the zEDC Express adapter, is designed to support a new data compression function. This facility is designed to provide high-performance, low-latency compression without significant CPU overhead.  The speaker will spend time discussing the z/OS usage of zEDC Express, namely DSS/HSM, including configuration and validation steps for each one as well as performance metrics.-Robert Gensler-IBM
