WebSphere Application Server for z/OS serves workloads that can include hundreds or thousands of applications. Resource usage of such workloads in RMF often appear as single application server entity with no application granularity. This session shows how to use WebSphere Application Server transaction classes to provide application level granularity for WLM classification and RMF reporting. It furthermore shows methods on how to use DB2 for z/OS Client Information to correlate DB2 accounting information of JDBC type 2 and type 4 connections with their corresponding RMF workload activity reports.-Robert F.
