A significant number of customers have already activated z/OS BCPii in their installations and for good reason: z/OS BCPii provides a powerful means of programmatically monitoring and controlling System z resources from any authorized address space in z/OS.
Whether you have dabbled a bit in writing your own BCPii application or not, this session will provide you with useful techniques to help make your BCPii application better able to handle: different hardware configurations, changes occurring in the HMC network, changes occurring in the CPC configuration, loss of connectivity to the support element, and a BCPii outage.
Real coding examples will be given to show how system programmers can program their new BCPii application using the best techniques, or for existing applications, how to take their z/OS BCPii application to the next level. Steve Warren ; IBM Corporation
