This session includes presentation of the essential CMF, RMF and SMF collected metrics for CICS performance management and capacity planning activities. Attendees will learn (a) important considerations for parameters which control the data collection, (b) the typical set of reports required to support a particular activity, (c) what are the most important fields to track for health checks, and (d) how to avoid some potential pitfalls and finger pointing. The emphasis will be on quick techniques that help us "mine" intelligence from the mountain of information collected by CICS and z/OS.-Ivan Gelb-Gelb Information Systems Corp.
