We've all heard that data is becoming the new natural resource, but how much do you know about how and where all of this data is stored? What exactly is a RAID array, HDD, SDD, or Flash, and what does it have to do with z/OS data? Should I be worried about storage tiering or thin provisioning? Do I need to know if my data is replicated synchronously or asynchronously? This session is intended for zNextGen (but others may find it interesting) and will focus on general storage terminology and concepts and what you need to know to understand where your z/OS data is going and how it's getting there.-Nick Clayton-IBM Corporation
