Application flexibility is getting into new dimensions with docker. This presentation explains containers from the mainframe system programmers point of view, using familiar terminology and concepts.
You will recognize in docker some known concepts from the mainframe, such as, starting an application in a statid or dynamic address space, and you'll see that it is easier to understand the technology with the mainframe analogy.-Wilhelm Mild-IBM Corporation
