In this session, the speaker will describe how IBM Multi-site Workload Lifeline plays a key role in solving two major problems in the Enterprise. The first is enabling intelligent load balancing of mission-critical workloads across two sites at unlimited distances for near continuous availability. The second is reducing downtime for planned outages by rerouting these workloads from one site to another without disruption to end users. Several examples of actual customer use cases will be discussed.
Also discussed will be the recently announced IBM Multi-site Workload Lifeline capabilities, which now include support for workloads that utilize WebSphere MQ messaging for sending workload transactions into the data center.-Michael Fitzpatrick-IBM Corporation
