So you need to do some encryption on your z/OS system. Of course, before coding can start, an encryption solution must be selected. z/OS offers various built-in facilities for encryption, IBM has add-on products, and so do other vendors. And there are lots of choices out there, from IBM and other vendors, with widely varying approaches. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.
This session presents a survey of current System z facilities and capabilities, as well as a basic discussion of third-party approaches and some use cases that may help you to choose among them.
Note that this session is related to but distinct from "Enterprise Encryption 101", which focuses more on the process of approaching an encryption project, and less on specific technologies.-Phil Smith-HP Security Voltage
