You might have been familiar with the steps required to clone a z/VM system in the "old days" but a few things have changed with z/VM 6.2 and 6.3! The z/VM system identifier is now used in several new places that must be updated, along with the usual volume labels, system configuration files, network configuration, and directory or security managers if those are in use. In this session, we will discuss the steps you need to perform to clone a single system and even to clone an entire SSI cluster. The cloned system could be a first or second level test system or a new production system.-Bruce Hayden-IBM Corporation
