IBM Dynamic Partition Manager (DPM) is changing the administration of the mainframe providing a simplified, consumable, and enhanced user experience. DPM delivers dynamic hardware and virtual infrastructure management including partition provisioning, life-cycle, and I/O configuration from a single management end-point. DPM is targeted at First In Enterprise (FIE), and LinuxONE customers, that intend to run z/VM and/or KVM on IBM Z as a level 2 hypervisor and/or Linux on Z natively. This session shows the power of IBM Dynamic Partition Manager in action. A special focus will be on DPM Release 3 with its brand new user experience for setup and management of FICON and FCP storage attachments.-Carl Mayer-IBM Laboratory Böblingen
