"Java Specification Request 352: Batch Applications for the Java Platform" describes a programming model for batch applications and a runtime for scheduling and executing jobs. In this session we'll talk about the value of Java Batch, and a little about the programming model specified by the JSR. We'll also talk about what this means to the future of WebSphere Compute Grid, IBM's existing product providing a Java Batch environment and discuss any current news about Compute Grid.-David Follis-IBM Corporation
