Exploration into how mainframe network management is changing leading to increased demands on network engineers including increased false positives that lead to war room situations unrelated to the network, how integration between applications and hardware can provide additional situational awareness, and how interfaces can be enhanced to increase information density. In the session we will explore how network engineers can prepare for these changes, including a number of solutions and tools that can help get a head-start, while ideally freeing up mainframe network management teams to concentrate on the truly high value tasks and responsibilities they are expected to address on a day-to-day basis.-Christopher Spencer-Broadcom; Scott Howie-Broadcom
