Is having a mainframe team made up of Baby Boomer, GenX, and Millenial employees really a management nightmare? The speaker, a manager of just such a team in IBM z/OS development, believes not only is this not a nightmare, but rather an opportunity to move the mainframe forward. Though, there are certainly challenges along the way. From understanding the needs of the Baby Boomer, to nurturing the GenX-er, and finding the right millennial employees, this has the potential to go terribly wrong, but it doesn't have to. In this session the speaker, a frequent presenter at SHARE, will discuss some of what he has learned managing two such teams. Some of what worked and some of what didn't. And some insight on how to help a team of this structure to not only survive but excel in a mainframe environment.-John Monti-IBM Corporation
