In this session, the speaker will share her experiences related to upgrading from IBM's zEC12 CECs to IBM z13. The z13 has several relevant items geared for performance improvements.  The methods that are used to analyze the changes in the performance will be explained in detail, using several performance metrics, along with associated RMF and SMF records. How the SMF113 records were used to analyze changes in performance will also be explained. Many hints and tips that were discovered while moving from zEC12s and z13, like importance of weigths, hiperdispatch, and new architecture will also be shared-Meral Temel-ISBANK
