Things have changed greatly in the networking space for large distributed computing systems. With this is the need for increased security and remote management of network device and connections. With this presentation we will talk about several new features released for our Open System Adapter (OSA) product suite for zSystems networking connectivity. The introduction of the new Transport Layer Support (TLS) for OSA-ICC in GA2 has dramatically increased the level of integrated security provided to clients connecting to System Z ipl consoles via a TCP/IP connection. With 128 Bit encryption and 2048bit Key support, OSA-ICC now offers totally secure connections to an ipl'ing zSystem via natively attached workstation connections, eliminating the need for external devices or VPNs to provide this support. This session will describe this support in detail, along with guidance on how to configure and deploy it on z13.-Steve Valley-IBM
