Recent IBM Z machine generations with more processor cores can host very large SAP workloads in a single Z mainframe and provide a viable platform for customers to implement server consolidation and co-location. A series of large-scale measurements with an SAP core banking batch workload was conducted to determine performance benefits and advantages of various co-located configurations.-Veng Ly-IBM; Fimy Hu-IBM
