In addition to the traditional languages such as COBOL, C++, and PL/I, there are multiple modern languages that are getting adoption by developers worldwide. Java, C++, JavaScript, Go, and Swift are enriching the server ecosystem and they provide different capabilities.
This session will provide an overview of one of these languages, Swift. Â The Swift language has been one of the fastest-growing development languages since its introduction less than three years ago. IBM has been collaborating in, and leading, the open source efforts to bring Swift to hybrid cloud platforms. In this session, we will talk about the aspects that make Swift very attractive to enterprise clients, what IBM is doing to bring Swift to the z/OS server and the hybrid cloud, and why every enterprise client should start learning about Swift.-Igor Todorovski-IBM Toronto Lab
