It is estimated that 80% of the testing of enterprise software is currently done manually. This is one of the major inhibitors to building a DevOps pipeline that can deliver fully tested application changes consistently, repeatably, and rapidly.
In this session we will share our thoughts for how an open source framework could allow enterprises to replace manual testing with test automation, freeing up testers to focus on higher-level considerations. Such a framework could be based on capability that is currently used internally within IBM, and which provides a highly scalable, flexible, test runner architecture that can be called from any pipeline. It offers deep integration with z/OS and middleware applications, as well as the ability to integrate with other test tools.-William Yates-IBM UK Laboratories Limited
