Join z/OS Software Support specialists in their virtual world as they delve into the prevention, detection, and diagnosis of system-impacting virtual storage growth problems.  This presentation will focus on recognizing growth in below-the-bar common storage, as well as in high virtual (above-the-bar) private, shared, and common storage.  Learn what tools are available to safeguard your system and alert you to a potential virtual storage problem BEFORE it leads to system impact. Additionally, VSM's storage management strategy for below-the-bar common storage will be overviewed, setting the stage to perform analysis on a dump of an actual below-the-bar common storage problem.  Dump analysis will focus on effective use of VSM's CSA Tracker report (under IPCS) to quickly identify the source of common storage growth.
