Tivoli Storage Manager Version 6 Implementation Planning, Upgrade, and Strategies

Version 6 of Tivoli Storage Manager includes a major restructuring of its database. The upgrade process to accomplish this change is potentially a lengthy and resource intensive process. Given the magnitude of this process and the underlying changes in the TSM server, planning and preparation for the upgrade is therefore a task that needs to be undertaken well before implementation. Also included in this session will be a discussion of upgrade strategies given various existing TSM configurations such as Library sharing, LANFree, etc.
