IT Service Management for z/OS (ITSMz) leverages established best practices for monitoring, management, and automation. Established ITSMz methodology relies heavily upon the knowledge and expertise of the various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Analytics may be used to expand the scope and focus the perspective of ITSMz, by identifying the most critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
During this presentation the speaker will offer a discussion of the various sources of Analytics information as they may be applied to KPIs and ITSMz. Next will be a discussion of the various technical options, including IBM Operational Analytics Log Analysis (IOAz), IBM OMEGAMON monitoring, Tivoli Enterprise Portal, IBM Service Management Unite, Tivoli Data Warehouse, and IBM Common Data Provider. Examples of using IBM Watson analysis applied to ITSMz scenarios will be shown.
