No application should be deployed into production without first ensuring that
the production environment is properly secured from a range of possible attacks.
Hardening your production environment isn't just about the application server
itself - it extends to the operating system that the server is installed into,
the network which the server is a part of, and the application that is running
in the server. The specifics of hardening your production environment, however,
can vary based on the specific requirements of the application and what kind of
tradeoffs an administrator wants to make between ease of use versus maximum
security. This session will dive into the most common areas that users should
look at when thinking about hardening their production environment.
