This session is geared towards zNextGen or anyone wanting an introduction to WLM basics. 
On IBM z Systems, running z/OS, several workloads with competing priorities and resource requirements could run simultaneously. IBM Workload Manager allows to set importance and goal (velocity, response time) in business terms. WLM then manages the resource allocation to workloads to achieve these goals.
