You’ve loaded your DB2 performance data into a SQL database, how do you make sense of what you have? We’ll look first at the IFCIDs we want to collect and where to obtain them. We will examine both thread based metrics and SQL based metrics. Next we will look at graphing key performance indicators to identify baselines and application cycles using Excel. Finally, we will review several SQL queries to identify which applications are causing performance problems in order to maximize the return of our tuning efforts.-Robert D. Andresen-CA Technologies
