Every new system has it's own performance characteristics. The new z14 has many new performance features that will take quite a while to exploit in the operating system. However the z14 hardware itself provides a significant boost, which alone makes this system valuable. In this presentation we will first take a look at the performance of existing workloads on the new platform, and then give an outlook on what to expect from some of the exploitation items.-Stefan Reimbold-IBM Corporation
