This presentation will describe the various enhancements made to zFS in V2R3, which include Shrink for zFS aggregates, Encryption and Compression support for zFS aggregates, the ability to dynamically change some mount options for zFS aggregates (while still mounted), New subtypes for SMF recording for zFS aggregates, and implicit format on mount of a zFS aggregate. In addition, zFS in V2R3 will support to salvage (repair) a zFS aggregate while still mounted, user cache performance improvments, and will honor USS automout parameters.-Vivian Morabito-IBM Corporation
