Today's enterprise network security deployments typically include multiple layers of defense to protect mission critical data systems. While traditional perimeter-based network security is still very important, additional network security functions, including those on the server endpoints, provide a critical layer of protection in the overall network security infrastructure.
In this session, we will explore the various network security features z/OS Communication Server provides on z/OS. We will discuss the goals of z/OS network security features, policy-based network security features like Application Transparent TLS, IP packet filtering, IPsec, and integrated intrusion detection services, as well as SAF-based and application-specific network security features.-Chris Meyer-IBM Corporation
